About HisaabPK
The Story Behind HisaabPK
HisaabPK was born out of a simple frustration: every year, when FBR announces a new budget, millions of salaried Pakistanis have no easy way to find out what they owe in taxes. A teacher in Multan, a software developer in Lahore, a shopkeeper in Karachi — all of them deserve a fast, honest answer without paying a consultant or downloading a complicated spreadsheet.
We started with a single Income Tax calculator, updated it immediately after every budget, and expanded from there — adding Zakat, Salary, EMI, Capital Gains, Stamp Duty, Inheritance, and more. Every calculator is built with one principle: give the correct answer, instantly, without asking for anything in return.
Why We Built This
Pakistan's tax system is genuinely complicated. The FBR changes slabs almost every year. Zakat Nisab changes with gold and silver prices. Islamic inheritance (Mirath) involves shares that most people have never seen written down in plain language. Capital gains rules differ by asset type and holding period. EMI formulas are deliberately opaque from banks.
Most free tools available online are either outdated, show wrong rates, or are designed to upsell you a paid service. HisaabPK exists to fix that. We update every calculator within hours of a budget announcement — not days. We write plain-English explanations so you understand the result, not just the number.
What Makes Us Different
Always Budget-Current
We updated all tax slabs within hours of the Budget 2026-27 announcement on June 12, 2026. Previous year slabs remain available for comparison. We track Finance Bills, FBR circulars, and SROs so you don't have to.
Zero Data Collection
Every single calculation — your income, your assets, your property value — happens entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to any server. We have no database of user data because we collect none. Not even anonymously.
Permanently Free
HisaabPK is free today and will remain free. We cover operating costs through clearly labelled Google AdSense advertisements. There are no subscriptions, no "premium" tiers, no registration walls, and no hidden fees — ever.
Authentic Shariah Grounding
Our Zakat calculator uses the silver Nisab standard (52.5 tola = 612.36g silver) which is the more conservative and widely adopted threshold among Pakistani scholars. Our Faraid / Mirath calculator covers the full Hanafi framework including Asabah, Awl (proportional reduction), and Radd (return of surplus).
Education, Not Just Numbers
Every calculator comes with a plain-language explanation of how the calculation works — what rule applies, why, and what it means for you. We also publish detailed guides in our Blog covering topics like how to file an income tax return, how capital gains are taxed, and what the budget means for your salary.
Works on Any Device
Whether you are on a slow 3G connection in a rural area or on a laptop in a city office, HisaabPK loads fast, works offline after first load, and is fully usable on mobile screens without zooming or horizontal scrolling.

Our Commitment to Accuracy
We treat accuracy as a non-negotiable. When the government announced Budget 2026-27 on June 12, 2026, we updated our income tax slabs the same day — including the new reduced rates (23% → 20%, 30% → 25%, 35% → 29%, 35% → 32%), the complete abolition of the super tax on salaried earners, and the new corporate rate of 20%. We also kept the previous year's slabs available so users can compare their old vs new tax liability side by side.
That said, tax law is complex and individual circumstances vary. We always recommend verifying any significant financial decision with a qualified Chartered Accountant, FBR-registered Tax Practitioner, or relevant professional. Our tools are a starting point — not a substitute for professional advice.
